About The Owner

I was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in both the city and country. Summertime would bring vacations on the beautiful Lake George where I had my dream wedding in September of 1995. My wedding celebration took place at the historic Sagamore Resort.

My bridesmaids, flower girls, and I awoke to a beautiful, sunny, blue sky day at the Chelka Lodge in the town of Bolton Landing on Lake George. The wedding day would have gone off without a hitch if I didn't have 2 maids of honor, 3 bridesmaids, 1 junior bridesmaid, and 3 flower girls that all had to fit into one limousine with me. The limo driver insisted that he drive down the long, steep, switchback road to Chelka Lodge so that we wouldn't get our gowns covered in dirt walking up to the main road. No sooner did all ten of us pile in that the limo became hung up on the gravel driveway. It wouldn't budge forward or backward. My first reaction was let's all get out, but the driver wouldn't let us. Instead he tried to get the car freed by giving us orders to all move to one side, and then the other side, and then towards the front, and then back. Twenty minutes later we all climbed out of the limo and began the long steep hike to the highway. Even after we were out of the limo it remained stuck. My bridesmaids rolled my gown into a big ball around me and tried rolling me up the dirty road. Finally, I said forget it and told them to run ahead and wave down a car so we could hitch a ride to the church.

No one stopped to give us a ride, but a lot of people slowed down and a few took pictures. I formed my bridal party in a straight line and told them to start running. In high heels and ballet slippers we ran along the shoulder of the highway until the limo finally freed itself and pulled up along side of us, and back in we went. I was 45 minutes late for my own wedding!

After the wedding ceremony the celebrations began with a cocktail hour at the Sagamore along the water's edge.

We had 220 guests from 23 states and 3 countries.

A formal dinner followed in the Sagamore's Trillium room.

My wedding was in the old days when the father of the bride paid for everything. Thank you, Daddy!

The cake cutting ceremony was on the historic Horicon Yacht sailing around Lake George with endless cocktails and an amazing reggae band called One World that I convinced to drive up from the Bronx.

I purchased my wedding dress through Kleinfeld Bridal when they were still located in Brooklyn before they moved and became the stage for the popular reality tv show, Say Yes to the Dress.

My wedding dress was designed by Randy Fenoli for the Diamond Collection before Randy became the star of Say Yes to the Dress.

Although 3000 miles away from Lake George, Astoria Oregon is a beautiful setting for your lasting memories.

We at the Banker's Suite look forward to assisting you in creating your dream wedding.
